2 Boneless Skinless Chicken breasts
2 Tablespoons Italian dressing
2 Sweet Italian Sausage Links casing removed and sliced
1/2 Large Onion
1/2 Red Pepper
1 cup sliced mushrooms
1/4 cup butter
1/8 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
2 cups half and half
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon dried parsley flakes
1/3 cup grated Parmesan cheese
dried parsley flakes to garnish
- In medium sized skillet over medium heat cook chicken with italian dressing, cut into pieces and set aside.
- In Large skillet over medium heat saute onions and red peppers for 2 minutes. Add sliced sausage cook for 5 minutes. Then add sliced mushroom. Cook till sausage is done and vegetables are tender.
- Melt the butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Whisk the flour and garlic salt into the melted butter until the mixture is smooth. Slowly beat the half and half into the sauce until completely incorporated. Stir the garlic, parsley, and Parmesan cheese into the sauce, whisking continually. Bring the sauce to a simmer; cook, stirring regularly, until the sauce has thickened, 4 to 5 minutes.
- Stir in Sausage mix and chicken. Serve over noodles or rice.
